Where Is Gaeta, Italy?
Gaeta is located in the Lazio region, along the Tyrrhenian Sea, about halfway between Rome and Naples. Despite its postcard-perfect coastline and rich past, it remains surprisingly underrated, especially compared to Italy’s more famous seaside towns.

One of Gaeta’s most breathtaking sights is Montagna Spaccata, a massive split in the cliff overlooking the sea. A narrow stone path leads you down into the rock, where sunlight and waves collide.
Legend says the mountain cracked at the moment of Christ’s death and whether you believe the story or not, standing there is something to remember.

The Castello Angioino-Aragonese towers above the old quarter, offering views of rooftops, sea, and sky. Below, churches like the Sanctuary of the Annunciation hide ornate interiors and peaceful corners far from the crowds.

No matter the season, Gaeta is where you can “feel Italy.”
